Ascend Pilot Academy
Horizon and Alaska employees looking start pilot training can apply to attend the Ascend Pilot Academy on a Company Offered Leave of Absence (COLA). Once enrolled, they will be eligible for all additional benefits of the program, including financial aid and a stipend up to $27,000.
Pilot Development Program
The Pilot Development Program is designed for Horizon employees already working to become a commercial pilot, and offers the chance to grow within the airline and receive mentorship - in addition to $12,500 in financial assistance - while on a Company Offered Leave of Absence (COLA).
