Role Summary

The Principal Loyalty Recognition is the product owner and lead subject matter expert on member engagement, including Clubs & Special Programs and associated benefits for AAG/HA. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable latitude and initiative to develop and deliver a long-term strategy that deepens guest preference and brand love while maximizing member-level profitability for Air Group/HA.

Key Duties

  • Design and implement comprehensive loyalty recognition programs and promotions that enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.

  • Analyze customer data to identify trends, preferences, and opportunities for improvement in loyalty initiatives.

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure alignment of loyalty programs with overall business objectives.

  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of loyalty programs and member engagement and make data-driven recommendations for enhancements.

  • Develop communication strategies to effectively promote loyalty programs and educate customers on available rewards and benefits.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in customer loyalty and recognition to keep our programs competitive.

  • Oversee the budget for loyalty initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial goals.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with revenue management, brand & lifecycle marketing, technology, accounting, operations, and other partner teams to execute on loyalty programs and initiatives.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • 7 years of experience in hospitality, marketing, or a loyalty-related area.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related technical degree or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Advanced in Excel and able to work with data analysis tools, statistical/reference formulas, and pivot tables.

  • Detail oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum age of 18.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of loyalty programs and co-brand credit card mechanics.

  • Demonstrated ability to have significant impact on products, services, or financial performance with data-driven recommendations.

  • Proficiency in database querying or business intelligence tools such as Structured Query language (SQL), Alteryx, Tableau.

  • Detail oriented in the delivery of work product and identifying idiosyncrasies in guest-facing experiences or inconsistencies in data sources.

  • Experience tracking and reporting on financial and operational performance of consumer-facing products or services.

  • Proven ability to gather, prep and blend data, then present complex data sets in a compelling and concise format.

Salary Range

$103,600 - $155,400 / year

Salary Details

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
