Role Summary
The Strategic Analytics Manager role is the sole process expert in all sales data administration, including preparation of reports, charts, statistics, and related presentations to support the indirect sales channel for the department. As an individual contributor, this role defines long-term strategy for the sales team by managing analytics that support the sales organization across the US., including our alliance partnerships. Through the development and ongoing support of our corporate contract ROI model and all data analytic sources, the Strategic Analytics Manager will focus on cost of sale, return on investment, share gap analytics and O&D analysis.
Key Duties
Partner with Alaska Airlines stakeholders across the U.S. to analyze needs and develop appropriate content and tools to support the customer experience.
Process performance data and make recommendations for new and existing corporate and agency programs.
Lead sales meeting preparation by providing metrics, analysis, and identification of opportunities to grow the business.
Continuously improve our leadership presentation materials focused on data analytics, simplify messages, and generate performance improvements.
Manage the corporate sales analytics programs (PRISM, Tableau and DIO) that support the field sales team.
Manage the Prism budget and invoices for tickets and support services, maintain customized tables, templates, and carrying costs impacting profitability models.
Monitor and evaluate contract process flow to ensure efficiencies and high productivity.
Lead contract management, reporting, and analysis synergies with the sales division.
Support and monitor WCIA Agreements by measuring share goals, cost of sale, and related market opportunities with focuses on Alaska Airlines performance metrics.
Establish processes focused on aligning administrative efforts related to sales analysis, budget administration, projection process, result reporting development, and communication.
Provide the reporting expectations to the sales team to augment workflow efficiencies and aid in negotiations.
Prepare and implement regional sales plans in accordance with corporate sales objectives, ensuring Alaska Airlines is well-positioned among its competitors, and leverages its position in the marketplace.
Partner with Commercial Analytics to analyze competitive product, price, and market penetration information.
Support sales leadership to build growth strategy for the division, by providing details and developing sales and market analytics.
Work with Commercial Analytics to set priorities that support Corporate Sales initiatives including revenue forecasts, share gap improvements, and management system dashboards.
Oversee development of a portal for corporate customers that provides self-service functionality for reporting on discounts, and soft benefits.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
A minimum of 7 years of experience in data analytics, sales development, finance, project management, or related area.
Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and proven success driving measurable results to enhance both customer and employee satisfaction.
Detail oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to drive outcomes in the best interest of the company and with others in the organization.
Ability to interact with business leaders, provide insights and recommendations, and collaborate to solve complex challenges.
Ability to manage through ambiguity, analyze and summarize complex data in a concise manner, and make meaningful business recommendations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
Airline Industry experience.
Experience in database and CRM management (Salesforce or equivalent).
Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, power BI tools.

Salary Range
$106,000 - $169,600 / year
Salary Details
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
