Role Summary
The Revenue Management Systems Principal is the sole subject matter expert in Revenue Management Systems. As an individual contributor, this role defines long-term strategy for the Revenue Management Systems (Pricing and Inventory) and exercises considerable latitude and initiative to build and maintain world-class systems to provide a platform for the RM team to deliver industry leading revenue.
Key Duties
Defines and executes long-term strategies across Revenue Management Systems and Support Tools.
Maintains opportunity backlog of systems/tool enhancements and prioritizes work across internal and external teams.
Monitors systems (Amadeus Altea, Sabre Dynamic Availability, ATPCO Architect, and internal tools) to maintain optimal performance. Research, prioritize and deliver system updates, enhancements. Holds partners/vendors accountable for SLAs and takes initiative to push systems issues to resolution.
Analyze large data sets using advanced statistical methods to calibrate the Revenue Management System, minimize forecast error, and assist RM team in maintaining a healthy forecast. Create reports, dashboards, and decision support tools to summarize findings and highlight opportunity.
Assists RM Managers/Team Leads with development of Best Practices for RM workflow and processes.
Actively seeks out industry improvements in Revenue Management systems, decision support tools, etc and builds business cases for adoption.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
7 years of experience in Revenue Management, Revenue Optimization, Operations Research, Forecasting or related area.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics (or related field), or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, interpret, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated understanding of RMS forecasting and optimization best practices.
Demonstrated ability to identify and capture revenue opportunity.
Demonstrated project management experience – driving progress and tracking towards defined objectives.
Demonstrated ability to lead through change.
Ability to present both technical and non-technical content to internal and external stakeholders.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
Prior airline experience responsible for maintenance and performance of a major.
Revenue Management System (Amadeus, Sabre, PROS, etc).
Experience managing third party relationships.
2 years of experience working with data, data modeling, or data analytics.
Experience leading cross-functional teams.

Salary Range
$112,400 - $174,200 / year
Salary Details
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees.
