Role Summary

The Managing Director, Enterprise Information Security, CISO sets the long-term strategy and oversees the development and execution of an enterprise-wide Information Security and Risk Management program. As a people leader, this role leads a team to develop, maintain, govern, and evolve a technology risk framework that will protect customer data, employee data, and technology/information assets. This role will partner closely with the executive leadership team to ensure the Information Security and Risk Management function is in alignment with business objectives (e.g., growth, innovation, operational excellence, safety, etc.) of the organization.

This senior leadership role requires a visionary leader with exceptional business acumen, an expert level knowledge of information security technologies, and an ability to influence and articulate company strategy to Officers, Executives and Board members.

Key Duties

  • Develops, implements, and leads a strategic, comprehensive enterprise technology security and risk management program.

  • Regularly reports status directly to the Audit Board Committee.

  • Continues to evolve the Enterprise Information Security organization across all domains.

  • Oversees Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of technology and information security policies, standards and guidelines.

  • Responsible for vendor risk management.

  • Responsible for threat intelligence and advises relevant stakeholders on the appropriate courses of action.

  • Provides strategic risk guidance for technology projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of technical controls.

  • Partners with the privacy and legal groups to ensure security programs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

  • Develop people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on fostering strategic and systems thinking, development of talent, and succession planning across teams and functions.

  • Influence company culture through action, presence, and reinforcement of behaviors.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills


  • 10 years of information technology, with experience in information security or risk management organization.

  • 5 years of people leadership experience.

  • A Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree, preferably with a focus in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related discipline.

  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and Payment Card Industry/Data Security Standard.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated a strong bias to execution.

  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend rapidly evolving security risk environments and mitigation approaches.

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize business acumen to balance needs for technology security and risk management with the risk posture of the enterprise.

  • Demonstrated leadership cultivating and motivating teams of high performing individuals.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum age of 18.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.


  • Proven track record developing and executing an IT security management program.

  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, including facilitation and negotiation.
