Role Summary

The Mgr Identity & Access Management is responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive identity program, ensuring secure, efficient, scalable, and compliant access controls for our people, data, and systems. Partnering with internal stakeholders in support of achieving business objectives, this role requires a deep understanding of identity and access management technologies, strong leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. As a people leader, this role is accountable for leading a team of highly skilled engineers who manage solutions for access controls which enable engineering teams to help build strong enterprise access controls.

Key Duties

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the enterprise identity program, aligning with the company's security and business objectives, ensuring reliable access control across the enterprise.

  • Ensure our enterprise certificate lifecycle management (CLM) practices are effective at safeguarding digital communications and maintaining data confidentiality, integrity, availability (CIA).

  • Oversee the selection, deployment, and management of enterprise identity technology platforms, enhancing scalability and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders across IT and the business to integrate requirements seamlessly within business processes building strong relationships with stakeholders and efficiently delivering on expectations.

  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of Alaska’s identity platforms by collaborating with business units, direct reports, peers and leadership to develop a 6-12-month strategic roadmap for enterprise identity.

  • Regularly assess and improve configurations and workflows to address evolving security needs, business demands, and industry trends. Driving continuous process and technology improvements to meet demands.

  • Partner with GRC teams to develop and enforce identity related policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Develop people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on delegation for stretch assignments, growing and developing the team for capacity and progression, looking at performance across the team, and time management.

  • Influence decisions and identify the best path forward through vision, prioritization, and technical leadership.

  • Provide creative thinking and innovation with pragmatic outcomes that build constructive business relationships and gain the trust of others.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • 5 years of experience working in a complex environment with a focus on identity, access and/or cybersecurity.

  • 2 years of experience directly managing a team of individual contributors.

  • Strong knowledge of identity processes, technologies, and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to convey complex information in a manner that is easily understood and acted upon.

  • Industry experience in leading teams dedicated to developing and integrating tools within the identity & access management space.

  • Proven track record improving security in a fast-moving environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Minimum age of 18.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Experience managing cloud identity security.

  • Prior Airline industry experience.

  • Proven experience in IAM management, including successful program implementation and execution.

  • A thought leader that focuses on efficiency and delivering on expectations.

  • Constructively challenges prevailing thoughts and processes.

  • Experience working with stakeholders across multiple functions.

Salary Range

$139,700 - $209,500 / year

Salary Details

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
