Horizon Air Horizon External Maintenance Technician Development Program in SeaTac, Washington
The Horizon MTX Development Program Program is geared towards individuals who want to gain the skills needed to receive their Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licenses. The program offers training, mentorship and a defined path to starting a career with Horizon Air/Alaska Airlines. If accepted into the program, the individual signs an agreement to work for Horizon Air for a minimum of 30 months after receiving their A&P licenses and starting at Horizon Air.
Maintain in good standing with approved A&P school
Attend quarterly check-ins with assigned mentor/leader
Maintain good communication with the company on curriculum progress
Attend program specific meetings as scheduled
Commit to work for Alaska Airlines for 2.5 years post program completion and sign an agreement confirming this requirement
Required Program Specific Experience, Education and Skills
Technician Development Program application
Ability to consistently lift 70 pounds and to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
Ability to work a variety of schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to communicate in English, valid driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, minimum age of 18, authorization to work in the U.S., and ability to obtain airport security clearance
Valid passport allowing unrestricted travel to and from the U.S. at time of application
