Role Summary
The Associate Benefits Program Partner solves employee benefits problems and processes and provides administrative support to the Benefits team at Alaska Airlines. As an individual contributor, this role focuses on vendor relations and the administration of a complex billing program.
Key Duties
Solve basic employee benefits problems using an understanding of Company benefit programs and policies.
Under the direction of leadership, make recommendations on new and existing processes, owning the process document library.
Track, coordinate, communicate, and maintain vendor relations and accurately process complex payments of more than $1M/month for roughly 12 vendors, often requiring significant communication with both internal resources (e.g., Accounts Payable, Treasury, etc.) and the respective vendor(s).
Analyze billing data for accuracy and any discrepancies. Provide recommendations and solutions to leadership resolve issues quickly.
Coordinate any updates to the billing process, as well as implement any new vendor billing processes.
Provide administrative support to the Benefits team by coordinating meetings and events, including the compilation and distribution of meeting notes.
Performs administration duties for Benefits and Absence Management Teams, including ordering supplies, coordinating mail and administering badges and access for visitors and vendors.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in human resources, employee benefits, employee program administration in lieu of this degree.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate projects, effectively manage multiple priorities and meet timelines.
Strong sense of urgency, demonstrated problem solving skills, and ability to innovate and think independently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to analyze and use data to make informed decisions.
Exceptional customer service skills (e.g., telephone and in person) and ability to maintain good working relationships with internal customers and external vendors.
Professional, reliable, empathetic, self-reliant and self-motivated.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.)
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
Knowledge of related regulations governing healthcare plans and wellness programs.
Understanding of standard concepts, practices and procedures related to benefits.

Salary Range
$62,250 --- $87,150 / year
Total Target Compensation Range (incl. bonus & equity)
$65,300 - $91,500
Salary Details
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
