The Communications Agent is responsible for organizing, planning and executing a safe on time operation which requires coordinating between multiple departments.
Create and maintain a strong culture of safety.
Monitor all flights in progress for possible delays, weather, flight cancellations, and communicate accordingly.
Input arrival and departure information and code delays into a data entry system.
Monitor the station’s ground to ground radio system, and effectively communicate information.
Monitor the air to ground radio system with inbound and outbound flight crews on special services needed.
Plan for and coordinate aircraft tows, deicing priorities, and act as the liaison between other departments and station operations.

Strong diplomacy, problem solving, and teamwork skills.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to provide quality internal customer service.
Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
Ability to perform basic mathematics.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
Ability to communicate in English.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age of 18.
Authorization to work in the U.S.
- A minimum of 1 year of customer service or community service experience.
Airport SIDA Badge Requirements
Important update for non-crew employees working at an airport or maintenance hangar: Employees will be required to obtain a SIDA badge provided by the airport authority and maintain good standing in order to keep their SIDA badge.
